A bit of an experimental route this week that seemed to work well. We found the best way up Canning Circus hill so far and found a route back down that took us along Ilkeston Road which is lovely and smooth.
[WARNING:DO NOT try skating all the way down from the top of Ilkeston Road. I cycle this route regularly and cars often pull out of side streets without warning and you need to be able to control your speed. The top bit is just to steep / fast to be safe.]
We than headed for Ruddington for a half time stop at the Jolly Farmers Inn before trying a new route between Ruddington and West Bridgeford. The skate was rounded off with a nice run down Musters Road and back to The Vat and Fiddle for a well earned beer. This skates was about 13.7 miles.
